Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Awareness
Our daughter Saddie (SZ) has been diagnosed with Alpha 1. It is the 3rd most common serious genetic disorder in the world and can result in life-threatening liver or lung disease in children and adults. It affects the liver and can lead to liver failure at any time in life. It is the leading genetic cause of liver transplantation in children.
